February 2012 Elle magazine came with a free Soap and Glory Thick & Fast mascara, which I at first hesitated to try out. It sat in my make up drawer for couple of weeks before I decided to give it a shot and test how it works.
Firstly, I was a little afraid of the super massive brush. I mean, it is actually longer than my eye, but saying that, my eyes are quite small anyway. Application was ok, even with the massive and scary brush. However I have to add, that at least for me, it is a must to brush my lashes later with an eyelash brush. I found that the mascara did clump slightly and my eyelashes looked like spider legs, but brushing afterwards did wonders.
Now to the part that I love - the staying power. I wore this mascara for work the other day and there was zero shedding. Great! The mascara stayed in its place for the whole day and still looked lovely when I reached home. What more is there to ask for?
Even though I was put off with the tacky packaging and massive brush at first, I have to admit that this is one of the best (not THE best) mascaras I have used.
10ml of Thick & Fast mascara costs £10.00 in the UK.
